Some news outlets are outraged at the “humane” treatment of the Fengsel’s inmates - but Norway approaches prison as a chance at rehabilitation, not punishment. An interesting problem for architects, no?
London’s Serpentine Galleryopens its doors on July 1with its 11th summer architecture commission. Legendary (and mysterious!) Swiss architect Peter Zumthor unveiled his Pavilion this morning, and we’ve got more of the very first images here.
His latest is “Your Rainbow Panorama”… which sounds exactly like what it is: a transparent circular walkway framed in gradient colors that change as viewers walk around the platform overlooking the city.
