Today we’re spotlighting the work of photographer Daniella Zalcman, whose stunning New York + London series of superimposed photos takes Instagram images to a new level. Navigating between travel and art photography, Zalcman documented her major transnational relocation to London from New York with this set of overlapping photographs of both cities. Please join the Columbia Lab for Architectural Broadcasting (C-LAB) at Studio-X from 5:45 - 9pm on Wednesday 13 June for an evening event on aging and New York City. Continuing the work begun in issue 27 of Volume magazine, ‘Aging Fight or Acceptand more recently, with the C-Lab-certified issue 29, ‘The Urban Conspiracy, this symposium engages experts from multiple disciplines who are actively shaping the future of aging in cities. From housing and environmental design to emerging technologies and social networks that foster aging-in-place, The Senior Moment will both survey and challenge received notions about the aging population and the aging built fabric of New York. The presentations and discussion will be followed by a reception. The event is free and open to the public.
